JDS Uniphase Atrium Galleria Location: 3000 Merivale Road, Ottawa, ON Year Completed: 2001 Cost: N/A Description: For this project, the challenge was to design a space for employees to have lunch, grab a coffee, or relax. A place devoid of the usual atmosphere of a conventional cafeteria, the design incorporates such elements as raised seating islands, whimsical cubes, which house coffee bars, lush interior landscaping, and a water feature. A skylight running the entire 150 meter length of the atrium floods the space with natural daylight. 1 of 1
